Carruthers & Roth Welcomes Special Counsel Patrick Johnson

Carruthers & Roth is excited to announce that Patrick Johnson has joined the firm as Special Counsel in the business and commercial real estate departments.

In this role, Patrick will work closely with clients on business, corporate, and commercial real estate matters, including transactions, business formation and reorganization, and commercial real estate development, leasing, and finance.

Before joining Carruthers & Roth, Patrick served as in-house corporate counsel for a Fortune 200 company where he partnered with senior executives to provide legal guidance and support for commercial mortgage investments, real estate transactions, and corporate facilities and leasing matters. He also has extensive prior experience as outside counsel to closely-held businesses, developers, private equity funds, and lenders through which he represented clients on all sides of transactions.

Patrick has more than a decade of practice experience and has worked with clients across a variety of industries and project types including multi-family residential, industrial, retail, medical, agribusiness, hospitality, automotive, insurance, renewable energy, telecommunications, and commercial. He has been a trusted advocate and advisor to his clients with corporate formation and capital structuring considerations, business acquisitions and dispositions, commercial real estate development and finance transactions, commercial lending, construction lending, commercial leases, blue sky laws, corporate matters, tax matters, construction matters, real estate related disputes, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

 Patrick earned his B.S., cum laude, in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and graduated summa cum laude from Elon University School of Law. He was recognized in “Best Lawyers in America” for Real Estate Law in 2020, and in Business North Carolina’s “Legal Elite” for Real Estate in 2019.
