Wintertaling M&A team is very pleased to announce that we have assisted SPIE Netherlands on its acquisition of 100% of IMI Aero-Dynamiek from IMI PLC (LSE: IMI).

The team line-up to make this deal happen consisted of Marein Smits, Esra Koopman, Tim Carapiet-Petit, Thom Schölvinck, Lisette Oosterveen, Tessa Visser and Julien van Oosten.

SPIE is the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications. IMI Aero-Dynamiek is a company with locations in the Netherlands and Belgium, which contributes to making buildings more sustainable by measuring, validating and optimizing climate systems.

The acquisition of IMI Aero-Dynamiek is an excellent addition to SPIE's current offering and underlines its growth ambition. With this acquisition, SPIE wants to further strengthen its position in these services and more specifically for the healthcare, bio-lifescience, food and semiconductor sectors.

The 65 employees of IMI Aero-Dynamiek will join SPIE, offering opportunities for training, further development, sharing and gathering knowledge, and discovering new markets and clients. IMI Aero-Dynamiek generated a revenue of around €6 million in 2022.
