His experience enables him to provide comprehensive support through various stages of corporate transactions, from seed to exit.
Originally from South Wales, Scott Preece studied at Aberystwyth University before completing his LPC in Bristol. He then trained in Birmingham, qualifying into the Corporate M&A team at Shakespeare Martineau. After gaining extensive M&A experience, Scott returned to Bristol, spending a number of years supporting scaling businesses and their funders though his time at VWV and Ashfords.
Scott comments:
“It is an exciting time to be joining RWK Goodman – the firm has grown impressively over the past few years and the new Bristol office presents a great opportunity to get stuck in and continue to build upon the firm’s reputation in the region. Having worked in Bristol and the wider South West for the best part of the last decade, I know that there are great businesses here and a strong desire for growth. I’m really looking forward to helping to grow the firm’s presence in this region and continuing my work with fast-growth businesses and their investors.”
Commenting on the appointment, partner in the Corporate team, James Worrall said:
“We are delighted to welcome Scott to our Corporate team in Bristol. His extensive expertise in venture capital, M&A, and corporate restructuring will be a tremendous asset to our clients. Scott’s passion for supporting innovative, fast-growing businesses aligns perfectly with the firm’s commitment to fostering growth and success for our clients. We are confident that Scott will play a pivotal role in continuing to expand our presence in the South West, along with the five other new joiners to our Corporate team in Bristol, and enhancing our offering for clients.”
